Married to a man 30 years younger: how I discovered what he was hiding in my drink every night

I listened to her five times.  "Make it sound natural."  I didn't need any further explanation.

I sent the recording to the lawyer and went to the police with the lab results and all the evidence I had saved. That same day I left the house without telling Ethan where I was going. I stayed with a friend.

The calls started at night. At first, they were gentle. Then they became irritated. In the end, there was no trace left of the calm man she had met in yoga class.

No one was watching me. No one was telling me to "drink it all."

At 59, I understood something I wished I'd known much sooner. The problem was never the age difference, nor that I had money and he was young. The problem was that, for fear of losing the love I thought I'd found, I gradually stopped asking questions.
